CHICKEN IN NAAN POCKETS


INGREDIENTS

 

  • 4 Naan pockets
  • 3 tbsp natural plain yoghurt
  • 1½ tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh coriander
  • 1 fresh green chilli, chopped
  • 1 lb Chicken (boned and cubed)
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 8 Onion rings
  • ½ white cabbage

METHOD

  1. 1. Cut into the middle of each naan to make a pocket and set aside.
  2. Mix together the yoghurt, garam masala, chilli powder, salt, lemon juice, coriander and chopped green chilli. Pour the marinade over the chicken and leave for about an hour.
  3. Pre-heat the grill on high and then lower to medium. Place the chicken into an ovenproof dish and grill for 15 - 20 minutes until tender and cooked throughout, turning the chicken at least twice. If wished, baste with the oil while cooking.
  4. Remove from heat and fill the naan with the chicken and then with onion rings, tomatoes and cabbage. Serve.
